| Raquel’s Wings for Life is a non-profit organization which transports cancer patients free of cost to the medical center they need. In Memory of Raquel Riveron 1934 – 2005 .
Our goal is to alleviate the financial burden and time consumption of traveling from the patient’s home to the medical treatment facilities of their choice that are otherwise not available to them locally. We’ve taken more than 20 flights in 2010.
We understand the difficulties, expenses and immense time consumption required when traveling, and we strive to make the ground and air transportation as comfortable, worry-free and short as possible.
There is absolutely no cost to the patient or traveling family.
Registered patients are customarily flown in a private Beechcraft Baron aircraft. Assistance is offered boarding and unloading the plane. Our organization also has the privilege of flying a direct route to the point of destination. We can also offer complimentary ground transportation to the airport if needed.
