The children's services division of TNS (940-627-6418) provides educational and case management services to children and their families through Head Start, Early Head Start and Home Base programs which serve children ages birth through five years of age.

Home Base (HB)
Home Base enrolls preschool age children who will be 3 or 4 on or before September 1. Families enrolled in HB have a home visit with the parent and child for 1 1/2 hours each week. Twice a month they have Socials with other families enrolled in the HB program. TNS has HB services in the following counties: Erath, Hood and Wise.

Head Start (HS)
HS enrolls preschool children who will be 3 or 4 on or before September 1. Each classroom is staffed with a Teacher and a Teacher Assistant. Class sizes average 17-20 with a max of 20 children per class. TNS has HS centers in the following cities: Alvarado, Bridgeport, Cleburne, Corsicana, Decatur, Glen Rose, Granbury, Kerens, Mineral Wells, Stephenville, and Weatherford.

Disability Services
10% of EHS and HS slots are reserved with children with diagnosed disabilities. Classroom modifications if needed. Coordinated services with therapists and schools. IFSP/IEP integration into lesson plans.
