Serves as an independent voice in court for abused & neglected children. CASA volunteers are trained and court appointed to serve as advocates in court for these children.

If you suspect child abuse or neglect, call the TDFPS toll-free 24-hour Family Violence Hotline:  1-800-252-5400.

Court Advocates

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is an adult willing to stand up for an abused or neglected child.  A CASA volunteer is appointed by a judge to provide factual information on behalf of a child caught in a difficult legal process.  In a court system challenged by increasing caseloads, a CASA volunteer can make the single greatest difference in the life of a child.

CASA
volunteer court advocates are the only volunteers that are appointed by a judge and empowered to stand up for an abused or neglected child in court. We invite you to learn more about becoming a CASA or Guardian ad Litem volunteer by contacting  CASA at the phone number below.  We hope you decide to join our family of volunteers, everyday people, who are committed to improving children’s lives.
